Fragrant New Era for New Orleans
What's New In Real Estate & Life In New Orleans

In a shocking twist, Mayor LaToya Cantrell has once again defied City Council’s repeated demands that she stay put and instead embarked on a diplomatic voyage to our sister city of Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. Cantrell deemed the trip a “critical trade mission,” with an itinerary including time for beachfront diplomacy and an in-depth study of Haitian rum. The result? A brand-new Haitian essential oils factory coming soon to New Orleans.
After a week of intensive meetings, Cantrell returned stateside to announce the factory’s launch live from the White House. The announcement, made alongside Donald Trump, represented a show of bipartisanship so rare that it had political analysts questioning reality itself.
While Governor Jeff Landry was busy landing a Hyundai factory and a Facebook data center for Louisiana, Cantrell went a different route. “Why manufacture cars and data when we could manufacture calm?” she said, proudly showcasing a vial of moringa oil. The factory is expected to create tens of jobs. Prepare for a fragrant new era in NOLA’s economic landscape.
While Mayor Cantrell is busy revolutionizing the city's economy one essential oil at a time, we’ve been lining up some actual business opportunities. From a student housing play near Tulane to a gem of a restaurant lease in the Warehouse District, there’s plenty to sniff out in this month’s listings. Keep scrolling for the goods!

What We're Eating & Drinking

WE'RE EATINGMuffuletta Panzanella Salad |
WE'RE DRINKINGBar Pomona: Fig Leaf Martini |
This Muffuletta Panzanella is picnic perfection—crunchy sesame croutons, briny olive salad, and layers of cheese and cured meats come together in a New Orleans-meets-Italy mashup. It’s bold, savory, and built to impress (and travel well). Make it ahead, let the flavors mingle, and watch it disappear. Here's the recipe! |
Bar Pomona’s Fig Leaf Martini is so dangerously delicious it pulled our Chief Cocktail Connoisseur, Casey, out of a yearlong martini retirement—only to send him right back. Herbaceous and impossibly smooth, the fig-leaf-infused syrup teases subtle sweetness before giving way to the briny bite of anchovy-stuffed olives. Sip wisely. |
Office Update

Crawfish season is upon us and we are taking advantage! We hosted our first crawfish boil in the new office, with resident chef Kaz in charge of the boil. Alongside the perfectly spiced crawfish, we tossed in some unexpected (but genius) extras: ravioli, artichokes, and peanuts. Safe to say, we’ve set the bar high for office boils to come!
If our newsletter becomes old, generic or lame, it would be an utter shame. Speak up, help us out, that's what we're all about.
