Saba’s Saz-arak:

Ingredients:
1 oz. Sazarac Rye
1 oz. Cognac
1 dash Angostura Bitters
2 dashes Peychauds Bitters
1⁄2 oz Baharat Demerera Syrup
6 Spritzes of Arak el Massaya
1 Lemon Peel
Instructions:
Fill a rocks glass with ice to chill the glass. Dump the ice. Next, fill a cocktail mixing tin with ice.
Add the Sazerac rye, cognac, both bitters, and the baharat demerara syrup to the cocktail
mixing tin & stir.
Spritz the chilled cocktail glass with the Arak el Massaya – we recommend filling a small
atomizer or spray bottle with the Arak for this step to coat the glass evenly.
Strain the mixture into the chilled glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.
Baharata Simple Syrup Ingredients:
500 grams Sugar in the Raw
25 grams Baharat
500 grams Water
Method:
- Add the sugar in the raw, bahrarat, and water into a saucepot. Bring the mixture to a
boil. - Reduce the heat & let simmer for 30 minutes (or until desired thickness). Let cool &
enjoy!
